As the major fundraiser of the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), Jeans for Genes® has raised a staggering $50 million since its inception in 1994, which has helped scientists unravel the mysteries of childhood disease. This year, Ben Sherman has stepped up to lend a hand, by designing a limited edition tee to commemorate this year’s campaign.
“The vital work at CMRI, is made possible because of support from the Australian community and the generosity from organisations like Ben Sherman. We are extremely excited to be working with such an iconic fashion label, who share our vision of providing a healthier future for all children” – Melissa Nassif, Jeans for Genes Campaign Coordinator.
These exclusive women’s tees will be available in Ben Sherman stores and on the Jeans for Genes website from July 1, and will retail for $39.00
Ben Sherman Brand Manager Roger Ireland, said: “With all of the profits going to such a worthwhile charity, we hope lots of people will support the cause and buy these limited edition tees.”The tee features classic mod inspired styling, synonymous with Ben Sherman’s icon look. Made from 100% cotton, the slouchy tee incorporates an emblematic British skyline with English roses and the DNA double helix, reflecting the synergy between Ben Sherman and Jeans for Genes.
Jeans for Genes is an Australian born and bred initiative, which has grown to become one of the most important national fundraising days. This year, the target is to raise $3.8 million, in order to assist the CMRI to achieve their vision of a healthier life for all children. Ben Sherman is honored to be associated with this worthy cause and looks forward to seeing supporters wear the tee proudly with their jeans on Friday 6th August – Jeans for Genes Day.
