At Ben Sherman we love distinguished. Nothing says dapper better than a leather carry case. San Francisco based Mr Simo has gone a step further.

Mr Simo has been mucking around with difference portable sound devices since the early 2000’s, but with the Boomcase he has hit the mark for the hipster masses.

Boomcase is a series of portable speakers, batteries and headphone jacks all pieced together in vintage, bespoke suitcases. Most are one offs, with 8 hours of battery life, you can plug in anything with a headphone jack and away you go.

Mr Simo will even though in an inbuilt charger and a few other special order options. Starting around $200.00 this is one killer stocking stuffer.

Tame Impala Get The Big J

Perth rockers Tame Impala have put the perfect exclamation point on a massive year by taking out album of the year at Triple J’s annual shindig The J Awards, for their debut album Innerspeaker. A big congrats to the lads along with Innnerspeaker engineer Tim Holmes (Death In Vegas) and producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT) for such brilliant work!

It was just over 18 months ago that Tame Impala featured on a Ben Sherman’s Big British Sound in Sydney – an event that shines the light on up and coming Aussie bands. The bill featured amongst others, Little Red & Art Vs Science, however it’s been Tame Impala that have shone bright amongst their contemporaries.
